Less is More360/361 - Sketch 22

Hi there. Phew! Made it to the last challenge of the year for Less is More. Yes, this is a two-weeker which is so lovely to get a bit of extra time over the Christmas break.  So, we have a sketch for you.

Head on over to the challenge blog for some fantastic inspiration from the design team.

I have 3 cards for you today and all of them took less than 15 minutes to make (if you ignore the stickles drying time on the first card!)

1) Birthday Spots

I wanted to use the inverse of the sketch for the main piece of stamping on one of my cards and this is it. I cut the panel out of white card and randomly stamped over it, adding some stickles to the centre circles on the 'starburst' type stamp for some bling. To make the pink of the card behind the sentiment match I just inked white card with the same pink colour as I'd stamped in.

I'm entering this into:
Craftaholics R Us #50 - Anything Goes
Papercraft Challenges #1 - Happy Birthday
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Party Time

STAMPS: Happy Little Stampers Mix Mash
DIES: Circle die
INKS: Versacolor 60 Celadon, 33 Pink
OTHER: Blue card, White card, Stardust stickles.

2) Planets and stars

Here I used a template to get the shape of the sketch and stamped over the corners with versamark and bright white embossing powder. Then I brushed over the areas with mermaid lagoon distress ink and softened the edges of the rounded parts. The sentiment and a star was heat embossed onto a vellum wrap. Nice and simple.

I'm popping this one in at:
Crafty Creations #357 - Anything Goes
If you gave a crafter a cookie #84 - I used the colours and the blobs for snow on the snowman cookie.

Tuesday Throwdown TT372- Anything Goes

STAMPS: Wow! 'Pop'. ClarityStamps star, the sentiment come from an umlabelled set
INKS: Versamark clear, Mermaid lagoon distress ink
OTHER: Vellum, Wow! opaque bright white superfine embossing powder, white card.

3) Rainbow Flags for New Year

This was a really quick card to make. Simple stamping with distress markers and the job was done. The only thing that took any time was lining up the banners to extend the flags to be long enough for the card - but that is so easy to do with clear stamps!

This one is for:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Party
Starz Stamps 21 Dec - Any winter holiday
The Male Room #75 - Christmas/WinterWishes/December Celebration

STAMPS: Happy Little Stampers Birthday Friends and everyday sentiments
DISTRESS MARKERS: festive berries, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, lucky clover, blueprint sketch, wilted violet
OTHER: White card and a post-it to mask over the sentiment

That's it from me for now. It just remains for me to wish you all a

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

and I hope to see you again in 2018

Hugs,
Sharon xx

You've been busy with this sketch and with stunning results! I love the fun, young, graphic, simple look of all of these -great use of Kylie's stamps. I bet she'd want to have her in your DT after seeing this post! I'm trying to decide which card is my fave but it's hard -maybe the first one because of the shiny Stickles and the fun color palette! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. xxx

I love these 3 CAS designs, Sharon - thank you for all of the inspiration that you shared with us this year and I am looking forward to seeing more in 2018! Congrats too on the win at Simon Monday's challenge with your bright birthday card - love the pink and blue. My fave has to be the gorgeous blue bubbles card - it looks so soft and pretty with the touch of vellum. I hope you have a very happy new year xx

These are fabulous, Sharon! Love how you reversed the stamping on the first. Beautiful use of the emboss resist technique for your planets/stars card. Love the blue colours. And your last card is so fun, bright and creative for a New Years card. All very inspiring! Hope you had an enjoyable holiday season. Happy new year and have a wonderful week!

Sorry I'm so late visiting on this one, got here eventually! And three stunners to view too! Love that you stamped the central part of the sketch, great use of the mix mash set here. Wonderful emboss resist with the soft edges to mirror the vellum. And such a simple idea for your third which is really effective! xx
