What have I made for this blog hop? ..... A light up card!

I did mock up several cards for this hop, but when the inspiration hit to make a lightbulb card that actually lights up I dropped all the other ideas. You can see the card lighting up in slo-mo action here:

Doesn't that incredible stamp look so cool when it lights up?

Here are the static photos:

There are 2 videos to show the process of making this card:

Part 1 - making the background and light bulb stamping parts

Part 2 - the electronics of the light up part and putting the card together.

...and here is an idea of a technique I call 'my Misti shimmy' where I use the grid on the mini misti to shimmy the card up by regular intervals to make a rainbow background...

You get the idea.

  29. Brilliant card! Definitely will be CASEing it.
I'm envious of your juicy Adirondack inks. They haven't been sold in the US for... a decade? Maybe 15 years? Mine couldn't be called juicy but I'm amazed at how well most still stamp (except a few favorite colors, like Citrus, that I've nearly used up.)
Your rainbow of sound waves shows just how clean and colorful the Adirondack line stamped... wish Ranger would bring them back!
