Less is More #387 - Sketch 25

Are you ready for a new challenge? Today we have a sketch to follow that is loosely based on a layout that I loved by one of our regular participants at Less is More. So thank you Kathy (aka The Purple Princess Diaries) for you inspiration. HERE IS THE LINK to her card that inspired this sketch.

Skull and Cross Buns is the generous January LIM sponsor so do make sure you enter for a chance to win some of their beautiful goodies.

Toni from Frankie Loves Craft, the LIM October 2018 winner, is our fabulous guest designer and her card is superb. Head over to the challenge blog to take a look at it, and also get some fab inspiration from the rest of the design team while you are there.

I have 2 cards for you today so let's take a look at them

1) Hello Lovely!

I thought the fastest and easiest way to replicate the sketch was to use some die cuts, so I found a piece of previously inked paper and die cut 5 branches. A die cut and stamped hello looked a little forlorn all on it's own so I cut a block of white and stamped 'lovely' on it. 3 little matching sequins finish this card.

STAMPS: Altenew halftone hello
DIES: Altenew halftone hello, Craft & You conifer twig 1
INKS: Prism(purple velvet), Distress Stains (worn lipstick, broken china, wilted violet)
OTHER: Fun foam, white card, sequins.

2) Heartfelt Sympathy

I'm not sure that the sketch elements really shows up in this card, but I like the end result so much that I am sharing it with you anyway.

Here I stamped the design in versamark ink onto a pearlised silver colour card and used my Polychromos pencils to colour the design.

As I left the stamps on the door of my misti while I coloured, I was able to go back in and re-stamp the images in versamark and the heat emboss them in silver.

I chose a sympathy phrase to go on this card which was popped up on fun foam, and some Nuvo drops were added to the small circles in the design.

STAMPS: Uniko origianlly organic, Happy Little Stampers doodled flowers
INKS: Versamark clear
POLYCHROMOS PENCILS: 101 White, 129 Pink Madder Lake, 123 Fuschia, 125 Middle Purple Pink, 166 Grass Green, 112 Leaf Green, 264 Dark Phthalo Green, 165 Juniper Green
OTHER: Stampendous detail silver embossing powder, Nuvo drops (white blizzard), Silver pearlised card, 3d foam
