Blue Hummingbird

Hello there. Today I'm sharing a hummingbird card that I made with the beautiful Visible Image Life Is Beautiful and Organics stamps.

I love the way this card turned out and I hope you like it too. It reminds me of the gorgeous wisteria that I had growing in the garden when I lived in the UK.

This is how I made it:

Ink up the hummingbird image using blending foam and Prism Inks.

Stamp it onto a piece of card, then stamp the image again on top using clear ink so that you can heat emboss with a clear sparkle embossing powder. Fussy cut the image and mount it onto foam.

Stamp the 'branches' onto the main panel using Altenew Inks. Stamp the hummingbird image again on the main panel so that you have the splatters. Doodle around the edge of the panel with a silver pen.

Ink up the edges of two panels in the darkest blue and green prism ink. Also ink a small piece of spare card with the dark blue ink and once that is totally dry, heat emboss the sentiment in silver. Fussy cut the sentiment pieces and mount onto foam tape.

Mount the main image panel onto the mats and then mount all that onto a card blank. Attach the hummingbird and the sentiment with 3d foam.

To make the flowers, add tiny drops of lilac liquid pearls (nuvo drops would work well too) in clusters for the flowers, and little sweeps of green for the leaves.

Inside: Create the tree with the lilacs again. Then stamp the sentiment from 'See Everything' in french navy ink.
